Middletown Valley Day of Service
Time & Location
About the Event
We are pleased to announce that we WILL be holding the Middletown Valley Day of Service in the Fall of 2020. Although it will have a different look than in the past, there is still an opportunity for Middletown residents to volunteer in the community. We will not be going to anyone's home this year, we will be "Cleaning up the Valley."
Social distancing (6') and mask wearing will be mandatory. We will work in groups of no more than 10. A map of the Valley divided into AREAS is provided on “SignUpGenius”. Choose an area or be assigned an area at Holy Family when you arrive and sign up to help "clean up the valley".
Check in at Holy Family Church parking lot (7321 Burkittsville Rd, Middletown) on Saturday, September 12 at 9:00 am. Supplies, water, and snacks will be available for a “Rolling pickup”. Recommended start time is no later than 10:00 am. One hour is a good goal but help till you can.
You will be given white bags for recyclables and black bags for garbage. Please keep recyclables separate as much as possible. There will be garbage drop off at memorial Park (behind the Harp Medical Center at the intersection of South Church Street (Rt. 17) and Franklin Street). Please consider taking recyclables home for regular pickup on September 16. We ask that all volunteers bring their own mask(s) and work gloves.
Rule of thumb – If it doesn’t grow, it goes. Be safe & thank you for your support.
